Winter Wardrobe staples with Feather and noise
Winter staples..... Sounds cheesy hey? well I don't really care. Every winter has its staples, from coats to jackets to jeans to the knitwear. Having those key pieces in the wardrobe that will work with any outfit, transition from day to night and have a great price tag is essential. Look for timelessness, pieces that will stick around for a few seasons and pieces that will also work through spring and then as a throw over for those summer nights where there is that slight chill in the air.
My top 2 staples definitely are the denim jacket and a great piece of kintwear. Dont be fooled into thinking staples have to be a splurge. They don't! Shop around!
Before this season even began you could feel that the denim jacket was about to make a massive come back. But then the shapes and colours came flowing into the stores. I looked and looked and every jacket a tried was to short or to long, to oversized not oversized enough, the colour was to dark or light. There was something not quite right with everyone until I tried the amazing Aiden jacket, I loved everything about it! the colour, the shape, the length, the fit. Everything was just right! Working easily from casual to dressy and will totally work through the coming seasons.
Now for the knitwear!!!!! Im not sure about you but the moment I see knitwear start making its way onto our news feeds I feel those winter feels coming on. Knitwear is a constant winter staple and will stand the test of time. Anyone else giving their Mum a talking to for not saving there knitwear from the 80s right now? I know I am! As I always say - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle when it comes to fashion. While adding a few new pieces to your collection every year. My favourite piece this season has to be the long oversized knit. Perfect in every colour, perfect with jeans, perfect on its own with a great heel to bring that night out sophistication. And for me the Joanna Knit does just that!
Get on it people, feel fab this season with these two must haves 👊🏻
